Can we as a country get past this whole race card thing? I mean come on. yes Granted that there are probably some racists out there on the fringe that dislike Obama because he is a black man but not everyone can be a racist. It disappoints me to hear this racist comment not only from a candidate but a republican candidate. I dont think we need a candidate that will play to Limbaugh but we dont need someone that is going to call someone a racist without proper supporting evidence.

Yeah, Murph, Rush is such a racist that his producer for almost his entire career is Snerdley who is (oh no!!!!) black!! Not to mention the fact that Rush was married by his great friend (oh no!!!) Justice Clarence Thomas. And let’s not forget that Rush’s other great friend (oh no!!!) Walter Williams often guest hosts for him. Of course you would not consider these three men to really be black. Hence, in your warped mind Rush truly is a racist. Good luck on winning any Republican election. You’ve got the “inclusion” thing down so well. Isn’t it funny how we tolerate you with your radical views but you won’t tolerate us with our mainstream views?

Murphy, like Colin Powell, represents the “new” progressive Republican party that doesn’t stand for anything unless it is politically expedient…like voting for politicians of the opposite party and dissing your own in a presidential campaign. Limbaugh doesn’t really represent a party as much as he does a backbone..it’s scary for many moderate Republicans to see someone unwaveringly stand on principle. Crying racist in the face of absolute principles shows the character of Murphy…he’s not about judging a man by the “content of his character” (MLK)…but about retribution like so many of his modern day homeboys. Reverse racism is the true meaning behind affirmative action and “political correctness” today. Where’s the level playing field when opportunity to follow one’s dreams is based on skin color and quotas instead of competence or qualifications…isn’t it nice that over 200 White House aids were recently fired because they lacked a certain pigment in their skin? Reverse racism has gone mainstream and people like Judge Sotomayer who would have been banned/disbarred for not hearing a case where black firefighters had been cheated out of their promotion is commended and elevated to the Supreme Court for racially dissing white (and one hispanic) males who worked hard to follow the rules and met the set qualifications.

The government is gaining more control economically and the Democratic Party is the furthest to the left it has been throughout history. We have incurred monumental taxpayer debt that will crush our children and grand children. The average person is going to suffer. Forget about calling Limbaugh names. Focus your energy on stopping the government’s economic takeover.

Certainly I would not publicly call Rush Limbaugh racist; insensitive, yes. Rush has developed many loyal listeners through his entertaining style which can be particularly useful to folks of the conservative persuasion desiring to stay informed though not take time to read. Over the years after non-stop day in and day out bashing of liberals Rush’s ranting are bound to backfire and seen as an unfair exploitation of the air waves for political purposes. I don’t subscribe to Rush’s constant rantings though find him funny and to be taken seriously. Just the very idea he is seen as influential within the GOP gives reason for great pause.

I have come to the conclusion that it will be black republicans who will be the saviors of America and the republican party.

Blacks know that the policies (primarily dem) have been used to keep them down and controlled for political purposes.

Personally, I can’t stand Limbaugh – tone, attitude, presentation, but it takes a certain level of intelligence to discern that Limbaugh is not racist, but uses the stupid liberal media to yell about him and give him more audience. The same way that he NEVER said he wanted America to fail, but the president’s POLICIES to fail. But the libs just have to spew venom as they call themselves the nice and caring ones.

I am black and I am a Rush fan. I don’t think that everything he says is gospel, but I don’t believe that his political incorrectness makes him a racist.

Murphy’s longshot campaign seems to have been born from the dustup between David Frum and Rush Limbaugh. Murphy is trying to position himself as the anti-Limbaugh conservative. If Murphy is taking the pro-Frum conservative route, he needs to expand the narrative and dive into the explosive social issues and take a risk to generate some media attention. Murphy should come out and support repealing the “don’t ask, don’t tell” rule, to signal a more “compassionate conservatism. On economics, challenge Specter over Social Security by supporting a more market-based approach. Attacking Limbaugh brands your candidacy and garners initial media attention, now Murphy needs sustainability.
