Murtha Hosts Economic Stimulus Summit TOMORROW
By THE OFFICE OF CONGRESSMAN JOHN MURTHA
In order to assist community leaders with understanding the funding opportunities made available in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which Congress passed in February, Congressman Murtha (PA-12) is hosting a Recovery and Reinvestment Act Summit on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture; U.S Department of Education; Pennsylvania Department of Education; U.S. Department of Energy (NETL); U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; U.S. Department of Labor; Small Business Administration; and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be available to discuss possible stimulus funding opportunities, to answer questions, and to provide copies of pertinent information and forms.
The event will be held in the Community Center at the Penn State Fayette Eberly Campus, Uniontown, PA and will consist of short 10 minute presentations, followed by breakout sessions for individual questions.
Our office has invited elected officials and school Superintendent’s from throughout the 12th Congressional District, and over 200 will be in attendance.
We’d also like to invite the media to attend as well.
