Specter: 15 requests for donation refunds so far

Little-noticed in Senator Arlen Specter’s statement that he would switch parties was a pledge to return money to donors who asked.

Christopher Nicholas, Specter’s campaign manager, said 15 donors had asked for their money back as of yesterday evening.

He did not immediately specify the dollar amount of the donations or the donors’ identities.

UPDATE 11:26 a.m.—Nicholas says the donations total about $15,000… chump change for a guy with more than $6 million in the bank.

UPDATE 12:53 p.m.—The Hill has the scoop on specific Republicans, including NRSC chair John Conryn, asking for their money back.
