I agree with Landon, why would Pat want to be a Congressman when he has such loftier ambitions. I for one want to see him fight it out for Senate or Lieutenant Governor. I personally think a Corbett-Meehan reform ticket would squash Oronato or Wanger any day of the week.

Meehan was on the short list of opponents for Sestak in 2008, but he chickened out. At the time, word was that Meehan had ambitions for Governor (or Senate). A crushing defeat by Sestak in his own district would have marked him as too weak for a statewide run. Craig Williams wound up as the sacrificial GOP lamb.

With the state Dem/Rep ratio getting “bluer”, Meehan’s best shot now is to be a big fish in a small pond once Sestak is out of the running.

This is one more example of how Sestak’s Senate Folly is damaging to his district and Pennsylvania.

Why would a former US Attorney want to run for the congress? He would have to traveling to Washington every week to be the low ranking member of the minority party. Meehan has higher ambitions, and we need him running the commonwealth!

Rumors also circulating that Steven Welch is planning a run for the 7th…..Google search says he’s the past founder and CEO of Mitos Technologies, some biotech manufacturing company he built from the ground up. Sestak may be a decent guy, but it’s time we start putting individuals in Congress that understand what it takes to create jobs, and have actually done it!!!
