Some of them talked a good game of support, knowing it wouldn't even get to a vote. A compromise bill may be the only one that can pass. Sestak can claim how he'll vote for EFCA, knowing full well that he'll be voting on the compromise version (which he is pushing in the House).All this really comes down to is Specter's clear statement: "I understand that, and I believe that you'll be satisfied with my vote on this issue."When EFCA passes, Specter's decisive vote in the Senate (and not Sestak's irrelevant vote in the House) will be the big news of the election for the unions.
