Toomey video hits Specter on party-switch, public healthcare flip-flop and more
Signaling that he still considers Senator Arlen Specter to be his eventual general election opponent, Republican Pat Toomey’s campaign on Monday released a video chock-full of juxtapositions that show Specter changing his mind on party affilation, healthcare reform and more.
The video, the first of what the Toomey campaign promises will be a series in what it calls “Hypocrisy Alert,” shows Specter explaining why he will remain a Republican, followed immediately by the announcement of his party switch. It also shows him opposing a public option for health insurance and backing it only two months later.
“In the two and half months since Senator Specter became a Democrat,” the campaign said, “he has quickly demonstrated that he will assume any position, support any party, violate any principle so long as it furthers his own political career.”

Ha ha ha… Pat Toomey doesn’t matter!
Take it from “true conservative” wingnut Pat Toomey – Arlen Specter is a reliable Democrat!

Considering the dynamics of the Senate race this web video speaks to conservative GOPers and progressive Democrats not sold on Specter. On the flip side, maybe Specter benefits from Toomey’s attack, pointing out that Toomey is trying to knock him out of the Democratic Primary because he is the strongest Democrat.

Good points. Despite all the smoke from Sestak and his fans, Arlen is the Dem that Toomey is afraid of. Toomey is willing to spend money now attacking Specter, to help the weaker candidate, Sestak, whom he’d rather face.
