Poll Shows Joe Hoeffel Leads in Race for PA Governor

By FRIENDS OF JOE HOEFFEL

A recent statewide survey of likely Democratic Primary voters finds Montgomery County Commissioner and former Congressman, Joe Hoeffel leading a field of candidates in the race for Governor of  Pennsylvania.  The poll, conducted by Lake Research, found that despite a field of several announced candidates, Democratic Primary voters are clearly looking for a strong progressive leader to lead the state; Hoeffel is poised to consolidate the sizable progressive bloc of the primary electorate, as well as the all important swing Philadelphia suburbs.

“The race for Governor is wide open.  Joe Hoeffel’s history of standing up and fighting for working families in Pennsylvania, and his strong base of support in Southeastern Pennsylvania, positions him well to win the Primary and General Election in 2010,” said Lou Freimiller, Hoeffel’s political consultant.
