Gerlach’s Former Chief of Staff Joins Welch Campaign

By WELCH FOR PA

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Steven Welch, Republican candidate for Congress to succeed retiring Congressman Jim Gerlach, announced today that Guy Ciarrocchi was joining his team as Campaign Co-Chairman.

“Guy brings a wealth of knowledge about how government works, and how it doesn’t,” said Welch.  “His in-depth understanding of the 6th District will be invaluable as we continue to share our message with voters and build momentum.”

Ciarrocchi noted that Welch’s message of a limited, responsible government and regional economic development is resonating with 6th District voters.

“Steve is the best candidate for this seat.  He is a successful entrepreneur with first-hand experience creating jobs in our area.  He has the passion to change Washington so that career politicians stop creating deficits for our children, and restore the American dream.  Simply put, he has the necessary background and independence that the 6th District deserves, and will be a strong voice in Congress,” said Ciarrocchi.

Guy Ciarrocchi was Congressman Gerlach’s Chief of Staff in 2007 and 2008.  Prior to that, he was Regional Director for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  He previously served as Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Senate Finance Committee, a Deputy Attorney General and Director of Public Affairs for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Guy and his family live in Tredyffrin Township, where Guy served as a Township Supervisor.
