My turn: I’m running for Congress in the 6th

OK, an odd place to announce it, but since everyone else has joined the Republican primary in the 6th District, I want people to know that I’m joining too.

Here’s my pitch:

1. I don’t live in the district, but neither does Steven Welch. I drive through it all the time. Besides, it will probably radically change shape again after the next census.

2. Curt Schroder only has a mustache. I have a beard, too. I got my hair cut just last week.

3. Howard Cohen worked for the state. I worked for Congress. I’ll know my way around when I get there.

4. I was at a rally and shook hands with Jim Gerlach once. He wished me good luck, which is almost as good as an endorsement. I saw Ronald Reagan several times, and he smiled at me, which implies a further endorsement.

5. I took the Republican purity test and got 7 of 10 correct. I plan to change it to 8 (which is a passing score) once elected. If I’m elected twice, I’ll spring for all 10.

Campaign contributions may be sent to pa2010.com—cash only please.

    1) You still won’t get as many votes as “6th-district-adjacent” Welch. Maybe, you should run after the district is redrawn from the census. (I suggest the 2050 census).

    2) Do beards help hide facial expressions for Republicans spouting disinformation and disingenuous talking points?

    3) That’s a great qualification if you are going to work the information booth and direct people to the nearest bathroom.

    4) So, you have Ger-luck?
Reagan smiling at you, is like a baby smiling: it’s probably just gas

    5) If you matched 7 out of 10 for “purity”, then you got the CORRECT answer only 3 questions. Which questions did you get right (and not “Right”)?

As far as contributions through PA2010:
I just put my “2-cents” in.

To apply the criteria you used when discussing Dawn Stensland — can you keep the interest of your spouse / significant other? It did seem paramount way to evaluate candidates in an earlier post of yours.
