Two state senators endorse Schroder
Further underscoring his support among elected officials in the 6th Congressional District, state Representative Curt Schroder’s (R-Chester) campaign announced Tuesday that it had been endorsed by two more members of the state Senate.
State Senators Mike Folmer (R-Berks) and Bob Mensch (R-Montgomery) both backed Schroder in the crowded GOP primary to succeed departing incumbent Jim Gerlach. The announcement came a day after Chester County Recorder of Deeds Ryan Costello bowed out of the race, and a couple weeks after several state representatives in the district endorsed Schroder.
“It’s been my pleasure to work with Curt for the past several years in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and I know he represents the highest ideals of fiscal and social responsibility,” Mensch, who recently moved to the General Assembly’s upper chamber, said in a statement.
Schroder still faces businessman Steven Welch, former Thornburgh administration Revenue Secretary Howard Cohen and activist Patrick Sellers in next year’s primary. Lower Merion Township Commissioner V. Scott Zelov is also considering a run.

This is old and tired and almost hilariously clueless in this climate. Come on, you can do better than this…
