U.S. Representative Niki Tsongas Endorses Doug Pike

Ardmore, PA — Today, Pike for Congress is announcing the endorsement of U.S. Representative Niki Tsongas (D-MA), a member of the House Armed Services Committee, the Budget Committee, and the Natural Resources Committee.
“During his career as a journalist and on Capitol Hill working with my late husband, Doug Pike demonstrated a deep commitment to public service,” said Congresswoman Niki Tsongas. “As we work to recover from an economic crisis, we need more allies in Congress like Doug who will work to create good jobs and be an advocate for our families. Doug’s unique perspective and experience and will bring tremendous value to the United States Congress, and I am pleased to support his candidacy.”
“I’m truly honored to have the support of Rep. Niki Tsongas,” said Doug Pike. “She is an outstanding public servant, and I look forward to working with her in Washington.”
Doug Pike served on the Editorial Board of The Philadelphia Inquirer for 14 years and was the President of a hospital for 10 years. Previously, Pike served as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter for U.S. Senator Paul Tsongas. In 1971, Pike graduated with honors from Princeton University.
The 6th District encompasses parts of Berks, Chester, Lehigh, and Montgomery Counties.
