Doherty’s campaign manager out, he turns to sister (Updated)
HARRISBURG—Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty confirmed rumors Friday that his gubernatorial campaign manager was no longer on staff, and said his sister who ran his previous mayoral races had assumed the position.
Doherty said that Corey Platt, who had been managing the campaign the last few months, returned to Missouri. Platt could not be reached for comment, but Doherty called the parting of ways “very friendly.”
His sister, Virginia McGregor, is now running the campaign. Though she’s managed his mayoral bids in Scranton, running a statewide race for governor is a challenge of an entirely different kind, potentially leaving Doherty at a disadvantage on the ground in the closing months before the May primary.
“I have tremendous confidence in her,” Doherty insisted, adding that even when Platt was at the helm, “the last person I always talked to was Virginia.”
UPDATE: A Doherty campaign spokesman says a search is underway for a more permanent campaign manager.

Anyone who wants Chris Doherty as a running mate, or anyone who wants Chris Doherty on the Democratic ticket can rest assured, I will definitely cast a ballot for the Republican ticket. This man is not an honest politician and cannot run Scranton as Mayor. He is an elitist and totally indifferent to the citizens of Scranton…a first-class “NO-NO” If you want to read about the “true” Doherty, keep abreast of Scranton politics…he is a disaster.

JT you are correct he is a train wreck!A lieing decieptful,disrespectful dick!I cant tell you how many people I know ,that he screwed.At election time he went door to door in South side.An old man gave him a donation to have his curb repaired because it was destroyed and water run off ran into his yard than leaked into his basement.Guess what,he never fixed it and took his money.and still has the problem and will have to pay out of his pocket to fix a city problem the mayor promised to fix.There are tons of stories and truths.
