Sen. Arlen Specter Accepts PAB’s Offer for Statewide Televised Primary Debate

By ARLEN SPECTER FOR SENATE

Harrisburg — Senator Arlen Specter today accepted an offer from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters (PAB) to host a debate among Democratic Senate candidates.

“I look forward to a lively exchange with my opponents,” said Specter.

PAB’s sponsorship assures the widest possible coverage and exposure for the debate, set for 7pm Saturday May 1st, at the WTXF (Fox) TV studio in Philadelphia. John Baer, columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News, will moderate the debate. It will be offered live to TV stations across the state and to PCN.

“My thanks to Richard  Wyckoff and the PAB for again organizing a statewide televised debate,” said Specter.
