Meehan takes to the op-ed pages

Former U.S. Attorney Pat Meehan seems a tad op-ed-happy today.

The Republican candidate in the 7th District has not one, but two pieces running in area newspapers.

He’s in The Philadelphia Daily News arguing against civilian trials for suspected terrorists.

And he’s in the local Delaware County Daily Times calling for a payroll tax holiday and tax write-offs for new businesses.

Who said old media was dead?

Yes, put on your brown shirt and march lock step with George W. Bush and Patrick Meehan.

Stan K. I want to march as an individual, with freedoms and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution. I and you, are allowed to do that more freely, when the Federal Government takes guarantees my safety from terrorists and takes less of my private property, which is my money. With the current party holding power in the Federal Capitol, my freedoms, and yours are under daily assault. In other words, the new brown shirt is now green with fraud and trade, terrorists are equal to common criminals, and the Federal Government seems to think it is entitled to as much of my private property as it can legislate itself to.

Any candidate who goes on record as wanting to LIMIT the Federal Government is refreshing.
