Burns leads by 6 in new poll
A political climate harsh to Democrats continue to buoy Republican Tim Burns in the 12th District special election, helping to give him a six-point lead over Mark Critz, according to a new poll.
The Daily Kos/Reasearch 2000 survey released Friday showed Burns winning 46 percent of the vote, compared to 40 for Critz, a longtime Murtha aide. Fourteen percent of voters are still undecided. Burns wins male voters and independents by wide margins, while women are about evenly split. In a troubling sign for Critz, 48 percent of respondents say they’re more likely to vote for a candidate who wants to repeal the new health care law, while 34 percent are more likely to back a candidate who supports the law. Burns backs repealing the law, while Critz does not.
Fifty-five percent of voters in the district view President Obama unfavorably, according to the poll.
The survey of 600 likely voters, conducted April 26-28, had a margin of error of four percent.

Im projecting this lead will balloon to as many as ten or twelve. The good ol boys gave up this seat when they picked an unknown candidate with a checkered past to continue their inside bidding.
Unfortunately for these baffoons, the voters will be having the final verdict on the outcome.
This has to be one of thee all time campaign blunders…. Thank you very much! Go Burns.
p.s. have Pelosi up for another Fundraiser!!!!

If the Daily Kos says Burns is up 6, you better believe he’s up more than 10. The Democrats deserve everything they get for their foolishness. Hafer was the best candidate and should have gotten the nomination over Critz.

Dear idiots (great name, by the way)…
We want the “HCR” law repealed because it is only a gift from Mr. Obama and his friends in congress to special interests and unions.
Most people who are for it might qualify as “stupid as hell”, but most of those who have a clue what’s in it are against it.
GO BURNS! And replace all of Obama’s cheerleaders in congress in November!

Lori-
Yeah… Obama’s friends who are working people and small business owners who are benefitting from the health care reform law. Damn those middle class people for not being born wealthy!
But thanks for showign that when a right wingnut makes a claim about a liberal not understanding something it’s usually a smokescreen to mask their own complete incompetence and stupidity.

Ed H, there was stuff mentioned a few days ago about the lack of civility on this site. Perhaps you should check that out. Being rude and vulgar is not usually considered debate. You are not helping your president’s cause.

The HCL is not about healthcare its about the government take over of heathcare. If you think you are going to get Free heathcare from the Government, remember you get what you pay for.
I do not have insurance and pay for my own health care out of my pocket and prefer it that way, and I am considered lower middle class. I would be better able to get health insurance if the government did not take so much money from me is all kind of taxes and fees.

The Government protects not provides. The Government was never meant to be your daddy. The Government is supposed to make an environment where you can work and provide for your own self. To many people what to just sit on their a## and let somebody else take care of them.
