Folks, it’s been a BLAST! I’ve certainly enjoyed contributing to pa2010.com, which has really come into its own as an authoritative source of news, information and incisive commentary. Disappointed but not panicking

Much has been said and written about Tuesday’s race in Massachusetts. And while it was an obvious disappointment to Democrats after making historic gains in 2008, everyone knows that 2010 will be a difficult year.

That goes for everyone, not just Democrats.

Will Toomey seek repeal of health care?

The ultra-conservative Club for Growth on Thursday announced a push to have health care legislation repealed and is seeking the support of members of Congress.

Last Friday, every single Republican congressman from Pennsylvania decided that Wall Street was more important than working families in our state.

Republican congressmen, such as Charlie Dent and Jim Gerlach, turned their backs on hard working men and women and voted to allow the financial sector to continue unchecked and risky business practices.

Toomey as a ‘mainstream Republican’? OMG

It baffles the mind as to how Republican Senate hopeful Pat Toomey could tell the The Daily Local in Chester County that he’s a “mainstream Republican” with a straight face.

But when you examine his record and his statements, you find another kind of Toomey—a rather extremist kind of Republican who isn’t ready to represent working families throughout Pennsylvania.

With tomorrow being Thanksgiving and the rest of holidays “officially” starting on Friday, many Pennsylvanians are taking a breather from the rat race.

However, at the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, we are already gearing up for DemFest 2010 that will take place on Feb. 5-6 in Lancaster.

Does Corbett have any pop with the GOP?

On Election Day, the voters of Centre County awarded Democrat Stacy Parks-Miller a resounding victory in the District Attorney’s race, 65-35 percent. She smoked the Republican incumbent by winning 85 of 89 precincts despite receiving quite a bit of support from the state Republican Party as well as an “endorsement” from state Attorney General and Republican gubernatorial hopeful, Tom Corbett.
