The top man in the Democratic Party is coming to Pennsylvania to pitch in for congressional hopeful Manan Trivedi.

Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine will be in Philadelphia Thursday, where he will headline a fundraiser for the 6th District candidate before he joins a meeting of local Asian-American leaders. Dean headlining fundraiser for Lentz, Trivedi

The Democratic Party’s liberal conscience is coming to southeast Pennsylvania next month to raise some campaign cash for Bryan Lentz and Manan Trivedi.

Howard Dean, the former Vermont governor, Democratic National Committee chairman and presidential candidate, will be in suburban Philadelphia on Sept. 22 for a joint fundraiser benefiting the two congressional candidates. Don’t sanitize in the 6th

A recent story here on pa2010.com reported that 6th District Democratic candidate Manan Trivedi was making “a play on immigration.”

But that’s a bit misleading.

Making a play, to me, involves being on the offensive and forging fertile ground for votes. Certainly, having a stance on immigration helps define the candidate to the electorate, but despite what any politicos may want to say, Trivedi’s statement on the issue is as inoffensive…
